For more than 20 years, Jennifer Wickert has been a driving force at Southern Housing, championing change, fostering inclusion and empowering women across the organisation. As head of communications, Jennifer has revolutionised how Southern Housing connects with residents and colleagues – making complex ideas accessible and fostering genuine engagement through creativity, humour and heart. Jennifer’s ability to bring people together through imaginative campaigns is a testament to her creativity and leadership.

 

A passionate advocate for gender equality, Jennifer chairs the Women at Work network group at Southern. She has made it her mission to celebrate and support women, helping them grow in their careers and personal lives. In 2024, she led a powerful menopause awareness campaign, breaking taboos through honest conversations.

 

For International Women’s Day, she combined impactful messages with humour, using personal anecdotes – including one hilariously memorable call to action on smear tests – to spark openness and connection.

 

She leads with authenticity, compassion and a belief in the power of communication to drive positive change.
